...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN SEVIER...MCCURTAIN
AND NORTHWESTERN RED RIVER COUNTIES THROUGH 915 AM CDT...

At 802 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15
miles east of Cloudy, or 31 miles southeast of Clayton, moving
northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Eagletown, Broken Bow, Rufe, Smithville, Hochatown, Watson, Battiest,
Pickens, Mount Herman, Redland, Wright City, Glover, Garvin,
Kiomatia, Bethel, Oak Hill, Golden, Plunketville, Farmers Hill, and
Millerton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

If on or near Broken Bow Lake, get out of the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
