Three garage doors on the upwind side were blown inward, which likely allowed the wind into the building. This allowed the wind to lift and remove part of the roof of the service area, which caused the collapse of a brick facade wall on the downwind side. The wind blowing through the building also blew out a few large glass windows in the showroom. Debris was blown across the street and damaged several cars in the Choctaw Village and Choctaw Casino parking lot downwind to the north. The vehicle service building is located on a significantly elevated hill compared to the shopping center to the north, which likely exposed it to more wind. No additional structural damage could be found around this point. Only one tree on the back lot from the service building was damaged, with the debris facing downwind. Based on the above, this damage will be rated as straight-line thunderstorm winds estimated at 90 mph. However, the rating could change pending further data analysis. .Tornado #1...Red River County, TX north and northeast of Boxelder Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 90 mph Path Length /statute/: 7.89 miles Path Width /maximum/: 275.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 11/04/2024 Start Time: 05:40 PM CST Start Location: 5 S Annona / Red River County / TX Start Lat/Lon: 33.5104 / -94.911 End Date: 11/04/2024 End Time: 05:47 PM CST End Location: 3 NW Avery / Red River County / TX End Lat/Lon: 33.58 / -94.8117 Summary: This EF1 tornado began northwest of Boxelder, TX, just west of Crystal Lake.
