.DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the
forecast region this afternoon. But these showers will be mostly
limited to the standard summer pop-up storms. With the increased
rain across the area, afternoon temperatures may not reach their
forecasted highs. Even if this is the case, the increased humidity
will contribute to heat stress for people that are outside and
preventative action should be taken to avoid heat-related illness.
Any showers that develop should dissipate this evening and leave
the overnight hours dry. Tomorrow morning should be mostly clear,
with the heat and pop-up showers returning in the afternoon.
