Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
208 AM CDT Tue Jun 2 2026

.DISCUSSION...

A cool front will move through fire districts today, bringing a
chance for showers and thunderstorms along the front. Some locally
heavy rainfall could be possible, especially for districts south
of I-20. Expect a slight cool down for Wednesday, with afternoon
highs in the mid to upper 80s. The fire districts should see
mostly dry conditions, but a few isolated storms will be possible
across our Deep East Texas and adjacent Central Louisiana districts
near the front, as it settles just south of the region. Mixing
heights will climb over 4000 ft for most of the area, with min RH
values above 45 percent. Expect northeasterly 20 foot winds
between 5-10 mph.
