Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
300 PM CDT Thu May 22 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Increasingly warmer temperatures are expected through this weekend
as southerly flow will return across all fire districts as a warm
front lifts back north late Friday into Friday night. Prior to
that, minimum relative humidity values on Friday afternoon will
range from around 40-55 percent and then gradually increase over
the weekend with returning Gulf moisture. Rain chances will return
late in the day and during the evening hours over the next few
days northwest of the I-30 corridor of Northeast Texas, Southeast
Oklahoma and extreme Southwest Arkansas.
