.DISCUSSION...
Stellar late summer weekend as advertised with the air drying out
nicely as high pressure continues to arrive on the NE winds. Fair
skies and maybe a little daybreak light fog across our southern
zones and districts with cooler lower 70s. Min RH will continue in
the 30% range for most of us both today and Sunday afternoon. We
still see stronger high pressure arriving in the new week.
However, this next air mass will be accompanied by light NW flow,
which is always good for some better than average rain chances and
cooler too with added cloud coverage. There are several weak
disturbances in this NW flow that will bring rain by early
Tuesday with the new cool front and these will continue to slide
down the Red River valley through late week, but a break in the
action seems to be coming together for less rain around on
Wednesday. Meantime, the NE winds will vary little from NE to E
with a veer to SE late week. So expect a cooler and wetter day
Tuesday and more spotty, but persistent convective activity by
late week.
