.DISCUSSION...
High pressure continues over the northern Gulf coastal waters
from New Orleans to Tampa. So the southerly winds will persist
for our area into next week at least. The min RH today was in the
40 percent range in many locales and that figure will continue to
be the case for another day or two, but should really see a big
increase over the weekend into the 50 to 60 percent range. So
with the dry fuels and expanding drought conditions there is still
room for concerns. We did see some cloudiness today and that
trend will persist as well with low clouds each morning to come,
lifting and scattering with mixing and heating. The weekend
should see some mid and high clouds as the next trough of low
pressure out west will be crossing the Rockies with weather slowly
edging our way. We are still looking at a slight rain chance
early in the week as a weak front approaches, but timing for
better wetting rainfall is still a week away. Until the middle of
next week, look for a slow warming trend to usher low to mid 80s
back into the picture and morning low climbing out of the 40s into
the 50s and even some 60s by this weekend.
