Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
353 AM CDT Tue Apr 22 2025

.DISCUSSION...

The surface boundary has shifted northward to around the I-20
corridor and will likely continue to until it stretches from
south of Tyler, TX to north of El Dorado, AR. The surface winds
are light enough with the ample low-level moisture that some
patchy fog is starting to develop in areas across the region,
which will continue to be possible through the morning. Winds
today will max out around 6 mph from the southeast. RH values will
generally range from 40-60%, but a chance of spotty showers south
of the frontal boundary will persist through the afternoon.
Mixing heights in the northwestern half of the region could climb
to 5500 ft or greater, while areas elsewhere struggle to reach
3500 ft.
