.DISCUSSION...
Rain and a few embedded thunderstorms will be widespread this morning
across all but the Southeast Oklahoma and adjacent Southwest Arkansas
districts, ahead of an upper level disturbance that will shift east across
the region. The more appreciable rainfall amounts will be over Lower East
Texas and North Louisiana, with amounts up to a half inch possible.
The rains will diminish from west to east this afternoon, but while patchy
fog will be possible tonight over North Louisiana and Deep East Texas, more
extensive areas of fog may develop overnight farther north across much of
Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas where cloud cover is able to thin or
clear, and winds remain light. The fog will lift by mid to late morning
Monday, with milder conditions returning as min RH`s range from 45-55+%.
20ft winds will remain light and variable in the morning, before becoming
west-southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Winds will decouple Monday
night with the potential for patchy fog developing, with the warming trend
continuing through Wednesday before a cold front sweeps through the region
Wednesday night. Light rain may accompany this frontal passage Wednesday
night, with temperatures cooling back down to the seasonal norms Thursday,
before moderating again by week`s end into next weekend. Dry conditions will
persist through the period as well.
