.DISCUSSION...
High pressure will settle across the fire districts tonight in
wake of the recent cold front passage. We should see less humid
and slightly cooler conditions, with lows in the 30s areawide.
Near freezing temperatures likely across portions of our SE
Oklahoma, SW Arkansas, and extreme NE Texas districts. Not
expecting much in the way of morning fog with the drier airmass
moving in, but with light winds and clear skies, some very
shallow isolated patches can`t be completely ruled out around
daybreak. Light winds will remain across the region today, as 20
ft winds will range from light/variable to SW around 5 mph. Mixing
heights will top out between 2500-3000 ft, with min RH values
generally between 30 to 40 percent.
Expect warmer temperatures on Friday. Not much change is expected
with Mixing heights, but min RH values will climb above 50 percent
in many locations. Rain chances will return on Saturday ahead of a
strong cold front. Very cold Arctic air will move into the region
by Sunday night/Monday morning behind the front, with lows well
below freezing.
