.DISCUSSION...
Tropical Storm Edouard is expected to drift west across the Northwest Gulf this
morning, and will move inland by this afternoon near Sabine Pass or extreme
Southeast Texas, while drifting northwest through Southeast Texas. Isolated to
scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will increase this afternoon and spread
northwest across Lower East Texas and Western/Central Louisiana, which may
produce brief heavy rainfall and locally gusty winds. While another day of
above normal temperatures is expected, min RH`s will continue to modify due to
increasing moisture spreading north from Edouard, with east-southeast 20ft winds
increasing to around 10 mph, with gusts to 25-30 mph over Lower East Texas. As
the center of this system drifts northwest into East-central Texas Wednesday,
scattered showers and thunderstorms will increase across much of Lower East Texas
along/south of I-20, with showers more isolated farther east into North Louisiana.
Min RH`s Wednesday will be comparably higher, ranging from 45-55+%, with humid
conditions persisting through the remainder of the week as near to above normal
temperatures persist, and isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms
each day mainly southeast of the I-30 corridor of Northeast Texas and Southwest
Arkansas.
