.DISCUSSION...
Weakening Tropical Storm Bertha continues to make steady progress
west into extreme SE TX this afternoon, and will continue to weaken
this evening/overnight as it shifts west into South Texas. Isolated
showers will remain possible through mid-evening across portions of
North Louisiana, Southcentral Arkansas, and Deep East Texas, although
cloud cover will linger overnight through much of Friday as the overall
flow pattern returns out of the south. Min RH`s Friday will range from
45-55% with 20ft winds returning to the south around 10 mph. Very isolated
afternoon showers and a few storms will be possible across the region
Friday afternoon, but most areas should remain dry. Unfortunately,
hotter conditions will return to the region this weekend through all
of next week, with triple digit temperatures expected over most areas
during that time, as an upper level area of high pressure amplifies
and expands back southeast into the area. As it does so, dry conditions
will continue as well, with no wetting rains expected for the
foreseeable future.
