Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
324 AM CDT Sun Apr 20 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A frontal boundary remains just northwest of the Ark-La-Tx this
morning, keeping the rain mostly at bay. This is expected to
change as the front moves eastward through our region through the
day, bringing showers and storms with it. Winds will be
southeasterly and gusty until the front passes. After which, winds
will shift to the west and calm down to around 6 kts. Conditions
tomorrow look to be better for burn operations, with the northwest
half of the region having RH`s in the 30s and mixing heights
maxing out around 4500-5000 ft. The other half of the region will
likely still have some lingering rain with the outgoing front.
