The National Weather Service in Shreveport has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  A Levee Failure on the McKinney Bayou along McKinney Bayou Levee
  in...
  East Central Miller County in southwestern Arkansas...

* Until 415 PM CDT.

* At 159 PM CDT, emergency management reported the McKinney Bayou
  Levee on the McKinney Bayou Near the intersection of Highway 196
  and Miller County Road 61 failed causing flash flooding of
  immediately surrounding areas.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding from a levee failure.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Flooding of areas near the levee break.

* Garland and Rocky Mound

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Beech Creek, Maniece Bayou, McKinney Bayou, Red River and Boggy
  Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you are in low lying areas along the McKinney Bayou Levee you
should move to higher ground immediately.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
