East Central Miller County in southwestern Arkansas... * Until 815 PM CDT. * At 604 PM CDT, emergency management reported the McKinney Bayou Levee on the McKinney Bayou Near the intersection of Highway 196 and Miller County Road 61 failed causing flash flooding of immediately surrounding areas. HAZARD...Flash flooding from a levee failure. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flooding of areas near the levee break. * Garland and Rocky Mound This includes the following streams and drainages... McKinney Bayou, Boggy Creek, Maniece Bayou, Beech Creek and Red River. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you are in low lying areas along the McKinney Bayou Levee you should move to higher ground immediately.
