DISCUSSION...
The low pressure system over the southwest states will move slowly
toward the east for today and Friday.

Scattered showers over San Diego County from the coast to the
mountains will decrease during the morning. The greater coverage
and amounts for the afternoon and evening are expected for the
mountains and valleys. There is also a slight chance of
thunderstorms for this afternoon.

Through this evening, additional rainfall and liquid-equivalent
above the snow level is expected to range from one-tenth inch or
less near the coast to one-quarter to locally one-half inch for
the mountains and valleys.

A snow level near 4000 to 4500 feet early this morning will rise
to 5000 to 5500 feet for this afternoon and evening with a few
inches of snowfall possible, mostly above 5000 to 5500 feet.

There is also a slight chance of showers for the mountains and
inland valleys for Friday afternoon with dry weather then expected
into next week.
