...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 AM PST...

For the following areas...
Coastal Waters from San Mateo Point to the Mexican Border and out to
30 nm...

At 950 AM PST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located a strong thunderstorm was located 5 nm west
of La Jolla, moving east east at 10 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small
         hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
