ORANGE ECC DISPATCH-
DISCUSSION FOR ORANGE ECC DISPATCH
1230 PM PST FRI NOV 22 2024

WARM AND VERY DRY TODAY WITH CRITICALLY LOW HUMIDITY BELOW 10
PERCENT, BUT 20FT WINDS WILL GENERALLY REMAIN BELOW 15 MPH THIS
AFTERNOON. SOME STRONG GUSTS UP TO 35-40 MPH POSSIBLE IN THE
MOUNTAIN PASSES, PEAKS, AND DESERT SLOPES ON SATURDAY, BUT
OTHERWISE, MOSTLY LIGHT WINDS WILL PREVAIL THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK.
INCREASING MOISTURE AND COOLER WEATHER ARRIVING THIS WEEKEND AND
INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK WILL LIMIT FIRE CONCERNS WITH PRECIPITATION FOR
THE MOUNTAINS. SNOW LEVELS WILL REMAIN HIGH, GENERALLY ABOVE 7000
FEET, BUT THE HIGHER TERRAIN COULD SEE UP TO AN INCH OF RAIN
SATURDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. ELSEWHERE, PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS WILL BE
EXTREMELY LIGHT.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL TODAY AND SATURDAY WITH HIGHS
REACHING SEVERAL DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE. EXPECT RELATIVE HUMIDITY TO
BOTTOM OUT AROUND 10% ACROSS THE LOWER DESERTS TO 15% IN HIGHER
TERRAIN AREAS THROUGH SATURDAY BEFORE INCREASING TO AROUND 20-35%
ON SUNDAY. OVERNIGHT RECOVERY SHOULD BE POOR TONIGHT, INCREASING TO
FAIR ACROSS THE WESTERN ZONES BY SATURDAY NIGHT. OVERALL LIGHT
WINDS WILL CONTINUE WITH ONLY SOME PERIODIC LIGHT BREEZES MAINLY
DURING THE MORNING HOURS AND FOCUSED ALONG RIDGETOPS.

NOTE...ADDITIONAL FIRE WEATHER FORECAST INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND IN
THE AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION. SEE PRODUCT PHXAFDPSR.
