.DISCUSSION...
Moisture over southwestern California will slowly decrease today
and Thursday. There will be a slight chance of afternoon and
early evening showers and thunderstorms for the mountains and high
deserts with the chance for wetting precipitation for the
mountains around 20 percent for today and around 10 percent for
Thursday. Then dry for Friday into next week. There will be a
warming trend through the weekend with high temperatures peaking
Sunday and Monday at a few to around 5 degrees above average for
coastal areas to 5 to 10 degrees above average for the mountains
and deserts. A marine layer around 3000 feet deep will gradually
decrease in depth for Friday into early next week to around 1500
feet for Sunday and Monday.
