.DISCUSSION...
Above average temperatures are expected through Tuesday, with
highs on Monday 10 to 20 degrees above average. Periods of weak to
locally moderate northeast to east winds are expected through
Monday on coastal mountain slopes, below passes, and locally into
the valleys. Gusts of 25 to 45 mph are expected overnight into
Monday morning. Winds will slowly diminish through Monday
afternoon. Minimum daytime relative humidity inland will fall to
10 to 15 percent Monday afternoon. The marine layer will remain
shallow into Monday, with a deepening trend expected for the
middle to end of the week. Cooler and cloudier conditions will
return for the middle of next week. There are chances of
widespread precipitation Thursday into Saturday. There remains low
confidence in the details. Chances for wetting rain are currently
highest on Friday at 50 to 70 percent. Chances for 72-hour
rainfall totals to exceed 1 inch are near 65 percent in the
mountains. Mountain snow is likely, but low confidence in what the
snow level will be during the highest chances of precipitation.
