.DISCUSSION...
Gusty west winds on the desert mountain slopes and below the
passes will weaken through the morning. Brief offshore flow
develops by late morning but will be confined to the foothills and
passes in the San Bernardino Mountains with gusts less than 25
mph, followed by a sea breeze this afternoon. High temperatures
will remain a few degrees below normal with a marine layer depth
around 2000-2500 ft through Wednesday. Greater uncertainty late in
the week with regards to temperature trends and potential for
tropical moisture and precipitation late Thursday through
Saturday.
