.DISCUSSION...
high pressure will expand over our region, leading to warmer temperatures
across our area by Wednesday through the weekend. Increasing monsoonal
moisture will move into the region by Friday through weekend, leading to
daily chances for shower and thunderstorm activity. The mountains and deserts
will see the highest chance of storms occurring on Saturday and Sunday, with
less chance for areas west of the mountains. An elevated fire weather risk
remains due to the hot weather expected as well as any cloud to ground
lightning associated with any thunderstorms that occur.
