.DISCUSSION...
Hot weather will continue inland into early next week. Minimum
daytime relative humidities will be around 10 to 20 percent in the
mountains and deserts, with moderate to poor overnight recovery.
Some mid-level moisture and weak instability will bring mixing
heights of 15 to 17 kft in the mountains for an increased risk of
plume-dominated fires, as well as a 10 to 15% chance of showers and
thunderstorms over the central and southern San Diego County
mountains and adjacent deserts this afternoon and again Sunday
afternoon. Shower/thunderstorm chances are less than 10% near the
Rosa and Gold Fires. For the middle to latter part of next week,
gradual cooling with dry conditions across the mountains and
deserts and typical afternoon sea breezes.
