.Synopsis for the far Southern California coast...
At 2 PM, a 1022 mb high was 1800 NM west of Los Angeles and a
1017mb high was over Nevada. A 1007 mb low was over the Cortez
Bank at the center of a large coastal eddy and a 1006 mb low
extended from Bakersfield south through El Centro to the Gulf of
California. The coastal eddy will continue through this evening
before an abrupt switch to weak northwest breezes tonight. Weak
northwest flow through Sunday morning will strengthen slightly
late Sunday and continue through Tuesday. Patchy dense fog less
than 1SM is possible Sunday and Monday morning, especially over
the nearshore waters.
