An additional tornado track was found southeast of the first path. This tornado eventually tracked toward and passed the initial tornado before entering Nevada. The other update was to the rating of the tornado southwest of Moundville. .Moundville... Rating: EF2 Estimated Peak Wind: 115 mph Path Length /statute/: 6.54 miles Path Width /maximum/: 0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 1 Start Date: 04/02/2025 Start Time: 07:29 AM CDT Start Location: 3 NW Bronaugh / Vernon County / MO Start Lat/Lon: 37.7329 / -94.5087 End Date: 04/02/2025 End Time: 07:34 AM CDT End Location: 2 NE Moundville / Vernon County / MO End Lat/Lon: 37.7874 / -94.4112 Survey Summary: A NWS survey team found EF-2 tornado damage to a home along Highway F to the southwest of Moundville. The tornado moved northeast damaging a few more homes along with barns and numerous trees as it tracked west and north of Moundville. A second tornado that touched down near the same time to the southeast of this path eventually tracked toward and passed the initial tornado to its east as determined by ground surveys and satellite damage imagery. This second tornado tracked into the Nevada area causing extensive damage. .Bronaugh-Nevada... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 mph Path Length /statute/: 16.62 miles Path Width /maximum/: 200 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/02/2025 Start Time: 07:30 AM CDT Start Location: 2 NNE Bronaugh / Vernon County / MO Start Lat/Lon: 37.7246 / -94.4522 End Date: 04/02/2025 End Time: 07:44 AM CDT End Location: 2 WNW Walker / Vernon County / MO End Lat/Lon: 37.9091 / -94.2592 Survey Summary: A tornado touched down north of Bronaugh and tracked northeast on a route just east of a separate tornado that tracked through the Moundville area. Based upon radar, satellite imagery and ground surveys, the Bronaugh tornado caught up to the initial tornado then continued through Nevada and lifted west of Walker. In it s early stages, two separate tornado debris signatures were detected by the KSGF 88D radar.Initially causing damage only to trees and barns, the tornado damaged several homes and outbuildings as it tracked toward Nevada, damaged numerous businesses as it crossed Highway 54 at Nevada. The tornado knocked over two sets of four railroad cars sitting on a side rail to the northeast of Nevada yet nearby trees only suffering limb damage. The tornado continued to damage outbuildings and barns as it tracked across open farmland before lifting near Walker. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the events and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$
