This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Limited lightning risk.
  Elevated excessive heat risk.
  Limited excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

Heat Advisory is in effect for the entire area through 8pm Tuesday.
Afternoon heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees.

Scattered showers and storms this afternoon and evening, mainly
along and east of Highway 65. Any given storm will be capable ind
gusts up to 50 to 60 mph and locally heavy rainfall.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Afternoon heat index values in the upper 90s to around 100 will
occur Tuesday.

There is a 30 to 50 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms
Tuesday into Wednesday as a cold front moves through.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

  Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
