Weather hazards expected... Marginal hail risk. Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk. Elevated lightning risk. DISCUSSION... Showers and thunderstorms will form late tonight, mostly after midnight or later. Main hazards with those initial storms will be hail and damaging winds across southeast Kansas into western Missouri. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Additional storms will be possible on Saturday into Saturday evening, especially along and south of the interstate 44 corridor from late morning into the evening. All severe weather hazards will be possible, with a damaging wind risk of 60 to 70 mph as the main risk. Hail to the size of golf balls will be possible if enough instability can develop during the afternoon. An isolated tornado risk will be possible within a squall line that is expected to develop by the late afternoon into the evening. Flooding is a concern with the line of thunderstorms moving through on Saturday with many storms training over the same areas. Areas along and southeast of the interstate 44 corridor have the best chance of seeing the higher rainfall totals. Widespread totals will be around 1-3 inches with localized amounts over 4 inches possible. Cooler temperatures in the 60s will occur on Sunday behind the front. A slight warm up occurs on Monday followed by high temperatures in the 60s and 70s with lows in the 40s for the rest of the week. Even some mid to upper 30s will be possible by Tuesday night. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
