This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

 Elevated lightning risk.
 Elevated excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

There is a 30-70% chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms
this morning along and north of I-44, with the highest chances
being furthest to the northwest.

An additional round of showers and thunderstorms are possible this
afternoon into tonight, with 30-55% chances of rain for areas
generally along and west of Hwy 63.

Any thunderstorms would bring risks of heavy downpours and
frequent lightning, as well as briefly gusty winds up to 40 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Daily shower and thunderstorm chances (30-50%) persist through
early to mid next week. Localized heavy rainfall may accompany
this activity.

  Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
