This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Limited lightning risk.
  Limited excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

Shower and thunderstorm chances increase to 20-40% across
portions of southeast KS into west central and central MO
generally after midnight. There is a 5% chance for a few isolated
strong thunderstorms in addition to localized heavy rainfall.
Primary hazard with strongest thunderstorms would be wind gusts of
50 to 60 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Hot and humid conditions persist across the area into Sunday
however clouds and rain chances could alter temperatures and heat
index values. Heat index values on Sunday could again reach the
upper 90s to around 100 if breaks in the clouds occur.

Additional shower and thunderstorm chances (30-60%) persist
through Sunday night. Low chances (5%) for a few isolated strong
thunderstorms in addition to localized heavy rainfall.

Daily shower and thunderstorm chances (30-50%) persist through
early next week.
