Southerly winds will occur across the area today, generally of 5 to 10 mph with some gusts up to 15 mph possible at times. Winds could vary from southeast to southwest at times through the day. Overnight winds will likely be variable as a weak front pushes into the area. Isolated storms will be possible across the area later this afternoon into early this evening. Gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall would occur with any storm. An additional area showers and storms will develop and push southeast into portions of central Missouri overnight into Thursday morning.
