.DISCUSSION...

Periods of showers and thunderstorms will continue at times into
Saturday with heavy rainfall and flooding becoming increasingly
likely along and south of the I-44 corridor. Rainfall amounts
of 3-6" with localized amounts up to 10" are expected across
south-central Missouri.

Much cooler weather is then expected early next week with dry
conditions returning.
