.DISCUSSION...
Heat to remain a concern with an Extreme Heat Warning in effect
west of Highway 65 and a Heat Advisory along Highway 65 and for the Lake of the Ozarks region today.
South winds are likely today for locations west of Highway 65. Humidity will likely drop down to at least
30 percent across most of the area today. Southeasterly winds are
expected across the eastern ozarks. Hot temperatures will continue
through Wednesday however rain chances will increase by afternoon and evening. Increased wind
gusts during the afternoons on Tuesday and Wednesday could
heighten the fire danger for southeast Kansas and western Missouri.
Rain chances increase into the 60-90% range Wednesday night into
Thursday with a chance for a wetting rain and a wind shift to the
north.
