.DISCUSSION...

Hot and humid conditions persist this afternoon. Gusty southerly
winds around 20 to 30 mph.

Shower and thunderstorm chances (20-40%) across portions of southeast
KS into west central and central MO this evening into tonight. Additional
chances (30-60%) persist through Sunday night. The highest chances of rain overall will be
north of Interstate 44. Low chances (5%)
for a few isolated strong thunderstorms in addition to localized
heavy rainfall.

Daily rain chances (30-50%) persist through early next week with
temperatures returning to near normal for mid August.
