At 1045 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 6.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... West Plains, Mountain View, Bakersfield, Pomona, South Fork, Brandsville, Pottersville, Siloam Springs, Caulfield, Moody, White Church, Peace Valley, Udall, Tecumseh, Norfork Lake and Ozark National Scenic Riverways. This includes the following low water crossings... Gill Branch at Highway Y, Bennetts River at Highway 142, Howell Creek at County Road 9790, Lick Creek at County Road 528, Possum Walk Creek at Highway T, Spring Creek at County Road 349 and Middle Fork Eleven Point River at County Road 1420.
