- Patchy smoke today, especially north of the Interstate 44
  corridor.

- Slow warming trend next week with temperatures returning to
  slightly above normal values by next Thursday.

.SHORT TERM /THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT/...

Continued quiet and cooler pattern with an upper high over the
western CONUS and a surface high over the Great Lakes that
results in a surfaces ridge across the CWA.

Northerly flow will continue to lead to smoke/haze across the
area.

Otherwise, look for lows tonight mainly in the 50s and highs
Sunday in the upper 70s to mid 80s.

.LONG TERM /MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/...

The pattern described in the short term section gradually
shifts east through the week. As the upper ridge moves east,
temperatures will trend warmer to slightly above normal by late
week. The forecast calls for highs in the mid 80s Monday,
increasing to the low to mid 90s by Friday.

Minimal 15-25% chances for showers and storms exist only
over small slivers of the far western and eastern CWA, mainly
during the afternoon Tuesday. Most are all locations are
expected to stay dry this forecast period.

VFR conditions winds will persist through the TAF period. Some
light smoke/haze is across the area, but not dense enough to
include in the TAFs at this time.
