Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast
National Weather Service Seattle WA
523 AM PDT Sat Oct 19 2024

.SYNOPSIS...An atmospheric river will continue to bring moderate
to heavy rainfall and gusty winds to the region into the weekend.
High pressure will resume early next week, providing drier
conditions and relief from the wet conditions for at least a few
days. More rain likely to return late next week.

&&

.IMPACTS...Strong winds in alpine regions on the mountain,
including the Muir snowfield, will make it difficult to move
safely and could produce local whiteout conditions. A high level
of skill and experience in alpine terrain, including use of GPS,
is recommended for navigation and camping in these conditions.
