Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast

.SYNOPSIS...Dry and warmer conditions will continue across Mount
Rainier National Park through Tuesday with high pressure over the
region. The next upper disturbance arrives around Wednesday,
ushering stronger onshore flow and cooler conditions. Another
disturbance crosses the region this weekend, maintaining cooler
conditions with precipitation chances and bringing lowering snow
levels to near Paradise late in the weekend.

.IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit Tuesday night and
Wednesday will make it difficult to move safely and could produce
local whiteout conditions. A high level of skill and experience
in alpine terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for
navigation and camping in these conditions.

.MONDAY NIGHT...Mostly clear. Freezing level near 13500 feet.
.TUESDAY...Sunny. Freezing level near 13000 feet.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...Mostly clear. Freezing level near 11500 feet.
.WEDNESDAY...Mostly sunny. A slight chance of rain and snow in
the afternoon. Snow level near 6000 feet.
