838 SXUS46 KSEW 091058 RECSEW Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast National Weather Service Seattle WA 258 AM PST Sat Nov 9 2024 .SYNOPSIS...A slow moving front will cross western WA this afternoon for a wet period of weather. Active weather will continue into next week with periods of heavy precipitation possible at Mount Rainier National Park. Along with rain, breezy conditions are likely Sunday night into Monday across the park. Lower snow levels on Monday could introduce additional snowfall accumulations at the park. && .IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit on Sunday night will make it difficult to move safely and could produce local whiteout conditions. A high level of skill and experience in alpine terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and camping in these conditions. && .SATURDAY...Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain until late afternoon. A slight chance of snow in the late morning and early afternoon, then a chance of rain and snow late in the afternoon.
