...SYSTEMS UPGRADE OUTAGE...

The National Weather Service office in Seattle will be conducting
a scheduled update to our Advanced Weather Interactive Processing
System (AWIPS) starting the morning of Tuesday, May 27th through
Thursday, May 29th. We will continue to maintain 24 by 7
operations here in Seattle including all forecasts and alerts as
well as most routine products during this time. However, a few
products and services will be unavailable during this upgrade
including:

* NOAA Weather Radio transmission will be unavailable for all or
  portions of this period. This will affect the normal Wednesday
  radio test.

* Regional Temperature and Precipitation (RTP), Daily Climate
  (CLI), and Preliminary Monthly Climate Data (CF6) products will
  not be generated.

* Locally generated graphics that display on our website will not
  be updated.

We apologize for any inconvenience this temporary suspension of
these products may cause. We encourage users in the area to have
multiple ways to receive alerts and to ensure they have Wireless
Emergency Alerts enabled on their phones. All observation data
used to create the impacted climate text products will still be
available for users throughout this time frame. Thank you for your
patience while we complete this upgrade.
