Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Washington
National Weather Service Seattle WA
314 PM PDT Thu May 22 2025

.DISCUSSION....Dry and warmer conditions develop today and continue
into the weekend with high pressure building over the Pacific
Northwest. Southerly flow aloft late Sunday has the potential to
bring a few showers and increased chances for lightning in the
Cascades. Deeper onshore flow will bring additional clouds, slightly
cooler temperatures, and potential for additional mountain showers
on Monday. Another ridge of high pressure builds again Tuesday and
Wednesday with continued warmer and dry conditions.

Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops)
are 10 minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
