...THREAT OF RIVER FLOODING FRIDAY AFTERNOON INTO THE WEEKEND FOR
MASON COUNTY...

A series of progressive systems will bring rain to western
Washington through the weekend. The heaviest rainfall is expected
through Saturday, with rainfall amounts over the Olympic Peninsula
ranging between 2-3 inches. This will lead to rises on the Skokomish
River in Mason County. With the Skokomish River running high and
with snow levels expected to be between 5500-7500 feet, expect
sharper rises on the river late Friday into Saturday. Flooding will
be possible into the weekend.

Please monitor the latest river forecasts from the National Weather
Service for additional information.
