405 FZUS63 KDTX 040135 GLFSC Lake St Clair Forecast National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI Issued by National Weather Service Gaylord MI 935 PM EDT Tue Jun 3 2025 Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...Broad area of high pressure, 30.21 inches, has nestled into place on the Mid Atlantic coast. Meanwhile, 29.56 inch low pressure is moving northeast through Wisconsin into the Straits of Mackinac and St. Mary`s River valley, with an attendant cold frontal boundary stretching all the way south and west to Texas. This area of lower pressure will lead to continuity of an already pinched pressure gradient, and thus, keeping SW flow elevated all the way through Wednesday into Wednesday evening as the aforementioned cold front slowly advances south and east through the Great Lakes. Current showers generally over Lake Michigan and Lake Superior (stretching south into northern lower Michigan) will continue their south and eastward advance tonight into Wednesday. Showers and (eventually) thunderstorms will build later in the day Wednesday, especially in the afternoon and evening, with chances for stronger to severe storms. The front clears late Wednesday evening before stalling over northern Ohio on Thursday, leaving potential for some residual showers through the day on Thursday.
