Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...Two areas of low pressure effect the area tonight through early Friday. First low, 29.70 inches, moves into the southern Great Lakes tonight generating wintry mix over these waters with snow to the north. The second low, 29.30 inches, then tracks along the northern shore of Lake Superior Thursday night. This system brings the potential for widespread gales over the central Great Lakes as well as areas of freezing spray.
