...A FEW SHOWERS/T-STORMS MAINLY ERN NV INCREASING BY THE WEEKEND...
...TEMPERATURES CLOSE TO AVERAGE FOR THE PERIOD...

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (MON AM - SUN AM)...

High pressure is settling in across the Desert Southwest centered
near the 4-Corners region...while troffing extends from just off the
Pacific Northwest coast back to the south-southwest to an area of
low pressure located near 30N/140W. This has brought primarily dry
southwest flow aloft to the region with chances of widespread precip
this week relatively minimal. A few afternoon or evening showers and
thunderstorms are possible mainly over the higher terrain of eastern
NV. By the end of the week...Friday and Saturday may see slight
uptick in afternoon and early evening convection as the upr ridge
amplifies near the 4-Corners and the upr trof moves closer to the
coast...drawing a bit more moisture northward across the region.

Temperatures this week should fluctuate near normal...sitting
between the stronger high pressure to the east and the troffing
offshore.

Freezing levels are currently running from 13500-feet over northwest
CA to around 17000-feet over southern CA. These will show slight
variations each day...but hover near similar values.
