.FORECAST SUMMARY...
A cold front continues to pass through the region today
(Thursday)
and bring gusty winds along and west of the Blue Ridge. The
strongest wind gusts of 35-40 mph will be at the highest
elevations
this afternoon and early evening. Wind gusts will persist into
the
weekend but will be a little lighter. Drier and cooler air moves
in
to bring the lowest relative humidity values between 30-40% and
early morning temperatures into the 40s and 50s. Shortwaves may
pass through the rest of the week to bring limited upslope
precipitation but the next best opportunity for widespread rain
will not be until early next week.
