.FORECAST SUMMARY...
The cold front that pushed through the Mid-Atlantic Monday night
will provide a focus for showers and thunderstorms across
southern VA and northern NC today before lifting back to the
north as a warm front during early Wednesday. This will keep
rainfall in the forecast through mid-week even though rainfall
amounts will remain light. Rain showers and a few thunderstorms
will remain in the forecast for much of the week until a cold
front passes across the region on Saturday. Dry weather will
return for the start of next week as high pressure passes from
the Great Lakes across the Northeast.
