...2024 Growing Season Over for Areas West of the Blue Ridge...

Widespread freezing temperatures this morning have ended the 2024
growing season for all locations west of the Blue Ridge and the
southern Shenandoah Valley. No more frost and freeze products
will be issued for the following areas until Spring 2025:

In North Carolina, this includes the counties of Alleghany, Ashe,
and Watauga. In Virginia, this includes the counties of Alleghany,
Bath, Bland, Botetourt, Carroll, Craig, Floyd, Giles, Grayson,
Mongtomery, Pulaski, Rockbridge, Smyth, Tazewell, and Wythe. This
also includes the independent cities of Buena Vista, Covington,
Galax, Lexington, and Radford. Finally, in West Virginia, this
includes the counties of Greenbrier, Mercer, Monroe, and Summers.
