KEY MESSAGE 1: Heat returns this coming week.

Above normal temperatures will be likely this coming week as a
broad 5H ridge intensifies over the region. Hot temperatures
arrive by Monday with much of the Piedmont reaching into the mid
90s, and peaking by Wednesday with highs in the upper 90s in the
east and upper 80s and low 90s in the mountains. As expected
with ridging overhead, limited rain chances expected through
much of the week.

.AVIATION /00Z SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...
VFR conditions will take us through the evening hours before
lower ceilings, and fog/mist develop as the night progresses.
The least coverage of sub-VFR ceilings will be across ares
generally west of a KBLF-KMKJ-KVJI line. Much of the region
will experience MVFR visibilities by midnight due to fog, with
pockets of IFR visibilities by daybreak Sunday. Any sub-VFR
conditions will improve to VFR by late morning.

Winds through much of the valid TAF forecast period concluding
00Z Monday/8pm EDT Sunday will be on the light and variable
side.

EXTENDED AVIATION OUTLOOK...

High pressure will build across the Appalachian Mountains on
Sunday to bring drier weather and mainly VFR conditions into
early next week. The only possibility that could disrupt the
VFR conditions would be any patchy morning fog in the typical
mountain valley terminals.
