...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL LOGAN AND SOUTHWESTERN
BOONE COUNTIES THROUGH 700 PM EDT...

At 629 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Chapmanville, or 8 miles north of Logan, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Logan, Chapmanville, Man, Chief Logan State Park, Wharton,
Amherstdale-Robinette, Mallory, Mount Gay-Shamrock, West Logan,
Mitchell Heights, Turtle Creek, Blair, Sharples, and Jeffrey.

This includes Route 119 between mile markers 31 and 49.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect. Heavy downpours could cause
rapid rises in water. If rising water is observed, move to higher
ground. Do not drive into areas covered by water.
