...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN NICHOLAS AND
NORTHWESTERN FAYETTE COUNTIES THROUGH 1245 AM EDT...

At 1216 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Gauley Bridge, or 11 miles northwest of Fayetteville, moving east at
15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Ansted, Gauley Bridge, Hawks Nest State Park, Powellton, Kesslers
Cross Lanes, Drennan, and Swiss.

This includes Route 19 between mile markers 24 and 31.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
