Expect periods of rain, heavy at times, for the rest of today and
into tonight. This rain will be beneficial for the area, but could
cause some localized flooding in low-lying spots or areas with poor
drainage. Please remember to never drive through flooded roadways.
A cold front will move through overnight, bringing an end to the
rain and ushering in much cooler, classic fall weather for Wednesday
and Thursday. It will be chilly enough Wednesday night and Thursday
night for some patchy frost to form, especially in the mountains and
sheltered valleys. So, you may want to protect any sensitive plants.
The good news is a beautiful weekend is on the way, with dry skies,
plenty of sunshine, and temperatures warming back into the 70s.
