.DISCUSSION...
More widespread showers and storms return areawide today into Friday
as a cold front gradually crosses through the area. Heat and high
humidity will continue ahead of the front although will be somewhat
suppressed by cloud coverage and shower activity. Additionally, a
few strong storms are possible in advance of the front, with the
main threats being damaging wind and heavy downpours which could
lead to localized flash flooding. A refreshing change to cooler and
much less humid weather is expected on Friday and through the
weekend following the passage of the cold front.
